Stop Pushing The Crappy Program

October 27th, 2007 No comments

I really dislike that occupational therapist that comes in each week to see Alonzo. She’s here for 5 minutes and makes all these stupid decisions about what he should and should not be doing. She has no clue what he is and isn’t capable of doing. She doesn’t consult with the teachers, who are with him all day long, and she doesn’t listen to anything anyone says.

She has it in her head that he should be working with Dragon Naturally Speaking when Alonzo can still write, mostly, by himself. It pisses me off that she tries to keep him from writing. Yes, one day, he won’t be able to write for himself anymore, but, until that time arrives, leave the damned kid alone and let him have what little independence remains.
