In case you don’t get the reference, this is from Firefly, one of the best television shows ever made. Here’s a video of Jayne’s song.

Jayne! The Man they call Jayne!
He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor,
He stood up to the man and he gave him what for.
Our love for him now, aint hard to explain,
The hero of Canton, the man they call Jayne!

Our Jayne saw the Mudders’ backs breakin’
He saw the Mudders lament
And he saw that magistrate takin’
Every dollar and leavin’ five cents
So he said, “You can’t do that to my people”
“You can’t crush them under your heel”
Jayne strapped on his hat
And in five seconds flat
Stole everything Boss Higgins had to steal

He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor
Stood up to the Man and he gave him what for
Our love for him now ain’t hard to explain
The Hero of Canton, the man they call Jayne

Now here is what separates heroes From common folk like you and I
The man they call Jayne He turned ’round his plane
And let that money hit sky
He dropped it onto our houses
He dropped it into our yards
And the man they call Jayne
He turned round his plane
And headed out for the stars

He robbed from the rich and he gave to the poor
Stood up to the Man and he gave him what for
Our love for him now ain’t hard to explain
The Hero of Canton, the man they call Jayne!

The Matrix Retold by Mom

May 5th, 2013 No comments

From a guy on YouTube:

My mom hadn’t seen (or heard of) the Wachowski’s classic sci-fi film The Matrix. We watched the entire movie together and right after she told me what it was all about.

She follows the white rabbit down some… tangents.

Animated with Premiere and a bit of After Effects and a heavy dose of Photoshop.

Star Wars meets Schoolhouse Rock

April 18th, 2013 No comments

If you’re a child of the 70s like me, you grew up watching Schoolhouse Rock Saturday mornings on ABC. Like me, you probably also saw Star Wars. I got to see it at the Fair Oaks Drive-In. We watched the ten o’clock showing and then stayed for the late showing. Well, some brilliant bastard on the internet has mashed the two together and it’s brilliant and hilarious.
