Today was my first official observation at school. I have had many observations before at my former schools and, after more than four years of teaching, you would think they would be no big deal. Instead, I was pretty nervous, but I think the observation went well. It will be a week or so before I hear anything back, but I thought I did a good job and I did not get to finish my lesson. The general rule is that you should always over plan for a lesson and this is especially true for a formal observation. Since I did over plan, and had a pretty well organized plan with several activities, I think I did okay :)
