Thursday and Friday of this week will be our “Spring Break.” This also coincides with Easter, which, this year, is the earliest since 1911. I am used to getting a full week for Spring Break, but, here, we get just two days. I am not sure what to make of this. The kids at school have been going pretty much since Chrismas and are getting pretty unsettled. From what I see there has been an increase in discipline issues the last few weeks. I think the kids need a break.

I think that in the regular world of work you would get no time off.  The few days we have off during the school year means we get a longer summer holiday. I think I prefer the longer summers than the odd few days here and there during the school year. In education, we still get it pretty good compared to people in any other profession, a lot of days off and time to prepare our lessons. Its not really a bad deal.
