It has been four months since Paul Simpson was appointed Preston North End manager. So far he has done really well. In the beginning, I thought the club would finish mid-table for the 2006-07 season as Simpson adjusted to management in the Championship. After all, he had never manged at this level and, although he did very well at Carlisle Utd, the Championship is a big step up from League Two and the Football Conference.
It is still early in the season and Preston could fall away, but, overall, I think Simpson is doing a fine job and to get a club like Preston to second place in the Championship is a great achievement. I hope that Simpson can keep up the fine work and, hopefully, lead Preston North End into the Premiership
